Festive Windsock Class ***Cancelled

Make one festive windsock for every occasion. 

Six applique shapes included in the pattern or personalize with your own design.

Kit includes instructions, one small Pop-up spring, one small swivel hook and a label.    Additional hardware is available to make more windsocks.

Size 5 ½ inches by 36 inches long.   Not including strings.

Fabric requirements:

Body of windsock 1/3 yard

10 tails – if using one fabric: 1 ¼ yard

                If using 2 fabrics: 2/3 yard each

                If using 3 fabrics: ½ yard of one fabric, 3/8 yard of two fabrics

                If using 4 fabrics: 3/8 yard of two fabrics, ¼ yard of two fabrics

                If using 5 fabrics: ¼ yard each

                If using 10 fabrics: 1/8 yard of each

Strings 1/8 yard or ¼ inch ribbon or double fold bias tape: 2 ¼ yards

Midweight fusible Stabilizer: ¾ yard

If adding applique: ¼ yard of paper-backed fusible web

Other supplies needed-

Sewing machine and your favorites notions

Recommend #14 or #16 sewing machine needle

Cutting mat, ruler, and rotary cutter

12 safety pins

Class Prep-

Cut the following

Main body: 2 – 10 ½ inches by 17 ½ inches

Tails: 10- 4 inches by 27 inches

Strings: 2- 1 ½ inches by 40 inches
